hey, even for chest nuts shot,
we can use ready made stuff like
grilled chest nuts on the street bender.

an idea of rough torned(ビリビリ破ったような) brown paper bag effect might look nice
as well as another detail shot of raw chest nuts?

Hi Aki. One of my work mates at the library lives in the Dandenongs and brought in some raw chest nuts with spiky shells for me. They are not perfect as they fell from the tree yesterday in the high winds. I will see them tomorrow. It sounds like by your Japanese that torn chest nuts may be perfect. Also another friend has seen in the past raw chest nuts in fruit and vege shops in Brunswick, so some shops do get them.

Great idea about the chestnut street vender. I will think about it more. I am thinking of roast chestnuts now. We had them when I was 6 in a fire place, Yum!

Thank you listing a menu and the ideas you came up with. おつかれさまでした!

I don't remember the grilled Lotus salad, but I remember discussing wanting to shoot it in a meal. The Grilled salad sounds intriguing-looking forward to hearing about it in person next week.

For the mushrooms are you still interested in using some plastic grass as a background, if you are I should ask my friend phoebe who has some.

Good luck on the persimmon Shiroe shot. Looking forward to shooting and tasting it (fingers crossed).

Chinese cabbage- I thought we were going to do a detail shot and then a dish made from the ingredient. Is pickled cabbage hard to make? Because it will be our first day shooting together you may be right, it may be better to just do to detail shots and ease into the work.

On adding more ideas, well lets shoot together and see how we do with time and see the results of our shoots. I am excited and looking forward to it. Thank you again for your time, energy and enthusiasm.

Wow, Friday 11th of April, all day sounds wonderful. I will book us in for the studio. Just letting you know we can only book 2 weeks in advance for studio. Also I have a Digital Asset Management workshop all day on Friday 18th of April, so you are free that day.

hi tama,

(studio time)
so 11th as well right?
for the following week,i am free on the 15th and friday 18th.

if you have to book in 2 weeks advance please book them for us.

ok, so we will start from hakusai and chest nuts.

(chest nuts)
am glad you liked the chest nuts idea. hope there will be some chest nuts vender on wednesday.

i will bring some brown paper bags on that day then.so the idea of the image is you just open the paper bag to get some hot roasted chest nuts in autumn.

if you have spikey bits or anything you reckon it might be useful for the shoot, please bring them along.

(hakusai)
we really didn't discuss about what we are going to make with hakusai. but pickled cabbage is simple and colour is light and nice i think.

i will probably bring a pre-maid pickle and if you are keen to take a photo of making of it, i can bring some salt and chilli and other ingredients. i think it's nice the few detail shots with salt(white), chilli(red), konbu(dark green), yuzu(yellow) and hakusai(light green)

how does it sound?

i hope it covers everything you would like to know.

Aki I have booked Friday the 11th of April in the studio. I have booked 9 am until 5, but we can start in the morning and see how we go and finish early if we like. Tell me if you think that is too long? I am flexible.

I will book in for Tuesday the 15th of April in the studio. I am busy on Friday the 18th of April as I have a important Digital Asset Management work shop with Peter Krough from the USA.

OK I will try and find a chestnut vendor and see if there will be one there on Wednesday. I will bring some spiky chestnuts.

Yes please bring some salt(white), chilli(red), konbu(dark green), yuzu(yellow) and hakusai(light green), it sounds like a great idea (lovely colour contrasts.)

Sounds great Aki!

I think that is everything I want to know.
